Purposes:
- to learn what mindfulness is and what its benefits are
- to learn how to practice mindfulness, in and away from daily life
- to address challenges to practice (e.g., busyness; difficult situations, thoughts, emotions) and misconceptions about mindfulness
- to become open to insights about life that come when we are living in mindfulness
- to build habits of practice, so mindfulness becomes our default way of being, our way of life
