Suite for Orchestra One 2: Andante out now.
Continuing my orchestral suite with a slower movement in 3/4 time, featuring woodwind melody (flute, clarinet, oboe), accompanied by pizzicato strings and arco bass. Later French horns and trombones add chords, harp enters with 8th-note arpeggiated chords, and bassoon supplies a counter-melody.
Reminds me of an Italian movie!
Releasing late July - Suite for Orchestra One 3: Andantino
For movement 3 of my orchestral suite, did another ballad-like feel, slightly faster, with a 12/8 meter. Solo oboe throughout, accompanied by harp, with the gradual addition of string harmonies and counter-melodies in first violins.
