 RECORDINGS

Single,  "Suite for Orchestra One 1.: Lento-Vivace”- out now.

Although I’ve played with the Hawai`i Symphony  many times over the years (mostly in a pop context), I really fell in love with the orchestra and its instruments after attending a series of all 9 Beethoven Symphonies.

Bought the BBC Symphony Orchestra plug-in and improvised this first movement of a planned 3-movement suite. Edited, added percussion, and assigned brass and woodwinds to some of the parts. It’s fun hearing the instruments switch off in various phrases.

The movement starts off slow and rubato with mostly strings, then morphs into uptempo, rhythmic sections with percussion and the rest of the orchestra; showing my jazz influence with some syncopation and harmonies.
